Impulse

Impulse is an AI-powered placement preparation platform built for UCEK engineering students, offering mock interviews and resume review through the Gemini API. A teammate built the initial prototype; I took it from a partially working AI-generated foundation to a maintained, deployed application.

Placement prep tools tend to be generic question banks. Students needed something that gives structured, specific feedback on their actual resume and interview responses.

Turning a partially working AI-generated prototype into a production application — reviewing the existing backend for security issues, rebuilding the frontend into a polished interface, and integrating the Gemini API properly for resume review and interview scoring.
